Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Concertina Card

Kia ora Koutou

Many years ago when I started paper crafting I remember making these beautiful screen cards by folding card stock and using punches to create the legs and decorate the tops. Becca Feeken has taken this concept to the next level with the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2019 – Graceful Concertina. Making delicate and intricate concertina cards is now so quick and easy and it took me longer to decide on the decorations of the card. This card reminded me of Victorian style screens that could be found in the boudoir in a stately house, and I selected the Mintay Peony Garden papers and ephemera to further emphasize the vintage feel.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made the concertina base card using the instructions from Becca Feeken here, however, I did not use the gold accents and instead keeping to a very simple design with cream cardstock. I have decorated the card with papers from Mintay Peony Garden collection and added extra die cuts to create my scenes. I kept the centre panel plain to add the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies on the front and to have a space for the greeting on the back.

To finish I added some pearls to the decorative panels.

Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Reveal Shutter Card

Kia ora Koutou

Last week I posted a quick and simple card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Card Dies. This week I have a card showing the elegant reveal shutter element when you open the card using the dies provided in this die set. This would be a perfect wedding card or a very special card for a significant occasion. This die set makes it so easy to create a stunning interactive card in no time at all.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

There is a video tutorial from Becca Feeken on how to assemble this card here.

Inside Back of Card

I have cut a piece of cream cardstock 6″ x 12″ and scored at 3″ and 9″ and folded the sides in to make a 6″ x 6″ gatefold card base. For the inside back of the card I have added a piece of gold cardstock and coordinating cream and gold pearl pattern paper. I then added a gold frame using the small and medium size label dies. I die cut the shutter mechanisms out using the dies in the die set out of cream cardstock. I die cut the label out of the of the middle using the middle sized label die and then adhered this to the inside back by the top and bottom tabs using foam tape. I gold embossed the sentiment on some scrap cream cardstock and die cut it out with the middle sized label die and then added the stamped label inside the aperture. To finish the centre panel I added a gold frame using the medium and large label dies to the aperture opening.

I die cut two side pieces out of cream cardstock using both the decorative panel and base and added gold cardstock behind the decorative panels.. These side panels were added to each side of the centre panel according to the instructions for the die set.

Back of Card

I die cut two decorative panels out of gold cardstock making sure they matched and threaded cream organza ribbon through the centre of the dies and then added both panels on the back of the card.

Front of Card

I added a gold and cream pattern pearl paper to both front panels. I die cut two decorative panels out of gold cardstock and threaded cream organza ribbon through the centres of the panels before adding a plain cream backing to the panels. These panels were added to both side panels.

I die cut the flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Rosebuds out of the cream cardstock and added one to the top left and one to the bottom right of the side panels. I die cut, coloured and assembled the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies. These flowers were added over the flourishes as shown. I added small green leaves around the flowers and small light green leaf flourishes from the Amazing Paper Grace Adoring Fleurette Etched Dies around the flowers.

To finish the card I added small pearls to the centres of the flowers and closed the card with the organza ribbon.

Quick and Simple Birthday Card using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Card Dies.

Kia ora Koutou

I love the versatility of the Amazing Paper Grace dies and how you can make an interactive card with one set of dies and yet make a quick and simple card with the same set. Today I have a very quick and easy card using just the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Card Dies. This die makes the most amazing reveal shutter when you open the card up but here I have kept it simple and used some pretty papers and a lovely sentiments topped with some gorgeous flowers from the same die set. What more could you want from a single die set.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I layered some gold card and pretty pearl paper for the front of the card. I then die cut the decorative small panel out of gold cardstock and the shadow panel out of cream pearl card from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2020 – Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Card. I adhered the decorative panels to the cream shadows and then added them to the front of the card. I cut a piece of gold cardstock 5/8″ x 4 5/8″ and adhered it over the gap in the middle between the decorative panels.

I stamped the birthday sentiment to a piece of cream pearl cardstock with Wow Embossing ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment out using the medium label die that comes in the Elegant Reveal Shutter Card Dies. I die cut a frame out of gold cardstock using the medium and small label dies and adhered it to the sentiment frame. This label was then added to the front of the card with foam tape.

I made a full bow out of pink and gold silk ribbon and adhered it to the base of the label slightly to the right.

I die cut the flowers out of pink and yellow cardstock and added some extra yellow ink to the centre of the yellow flowers and pink ink to the centre of the pink flowers. I assembled them with two of each colour flowers and added a gold pearl to the centres. One flower was added to the bow and the other was added to the top of the label as shown.

I die cut the leaves out of green cardstock, shaped them slightly with my hands and then added them around the flowers.

Amazing Paper Grace Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month December 2018 Softly Spoke’n Flip and Gatefold Mother’s Day Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a very special Mother’s Day gatefold card to share with you made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2019 – Enchantment Tall Flip and Gatefold Card Dies. What a stunning die this is and this is a companion to the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month December 2018 Softly Spoke’n Flip and Gatefold Dies in that these dies can be used to make gift baskets, boxes, gatefold cards and so much more. And I loved this colour combination of cream, rose gold and pink and felt that it was perfect for a very special elegant Mother’s Day card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project I have die cut two side panels out of cream pearl card using only the outline dies and the small triangular inserts on both sides. The left side I also die cut the small aperture out while on the right side I did not die cut the aperture out. I added an extra 1/2″ on one side of each panel which I scored along 1/2″. I added a small strip of pink pearl card behind the small decorative triangles and then folded over each side and adhered the two sides together.

Inside Back of Card

I cut a piece of cream cardstock 5″ x 7″ and glued the 1/2″ flap of the panels to each side of this card. I cut another piece of cream cardstock 5″ x 7″ and adhered it over the base hiding the strips. For the inside of the card I have cut a piece of cream pearl card 4 7/8″ x 6 7/8″ and added it to the inside back. I then cut a piece of rose pearl card 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and added it to the inside back. I then added another piece of cream pearl card slightly smaller over the rose card. I die cut a rectangle out of rose gold card using the medium Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangles Dies and cut another plain rectangle out of pink pearl card which was adhered behind the decorative rectangle. I die cut a medium rectangle using the Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Rectangle dies and added it to the front of the panel. I cut a small rectangle from the Hemstitch Rectangles die out of cream cardstock and adhered this to the front of the pink panel. I die cut two decorative panels from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month February 2019 – Enchantment Tall Flip and Gatefold Card Dies out of the rose gold pearl card and trimmed them down to added behind the rectangle panel. These were all adhered to the inside back of the card. I die cut the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything Words Dies out of the rose gold pearl card and adhered it to the centre of the panel.

Front of Card

For the front of the card I die cut two large decorative panels out of rose gold cardstock and two shadow dies out of pink pearl card and added these together and adhered them to both sides of the card. I die cut an extra four ‘handles’ from the base die out of rose gold card and added them to the front and back of the panels for extra strength.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set on pink pearl cardstock in Wow Embossing ink and embossed it with Rose Gold Embossing Powder. This was then die cut using the small rectangle die and added to the right side of the card as shown.

I made a full bow out of pink and gold silk ribbon and adhered it to the bottom left of the card front.

I die cut the flowers out from the Enchantment Tall Flip and Gatefold Card Die set out of flower shaping cardstock and coloured them with yellow and pink inks. These were then shaped and assembled using one of each size petal. I added a rose gold pearl to the centre of each flower and added a flower to the bow and three flowers to the top right side of the card.

I die cut the leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies out of white cardstock and blended green ink to create realistic looking leaves. These leaves were added around the flowers as shown.

To finish I made a beautiful butterfly from the Summer Label Motif Dies out of pink, cream and rose gold pearl card and added it to the top right of the card.

Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Concertina Wedding Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a gorgeous wedding card to share with you that I have created using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2019 – Graceful Concertina. This is a stunning die and is designed with tabs on one side that you can use to create concertina cards, votive holders and much more. When I looked at the die I was reminded of a wedding arch and trellis and this quickly became a wedding card with pretty flowers climbing up the sides.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I made a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of gold cardstock 5″ x 7″ and added it to the front of the card base. I cut a piece of cream cardstock slightly smaller and scored down the long side ever 1/16″ using my scoreboard before adding this to the front of the card.

I die cut two outer decorative frames – one out of gold cardstock and one out of cream cardstock. After trimming of the tabs I adhered the gold frame behind the cream frame slightly offsetting the gold frame and adhered it to the front of the card. I used the gold inner and adhered it to the inside of the frame and then die cut 3 decorative inner panels out of cream cardstock. These were stacked together and added over the gold panel.

To make the floral spray I die cut the small leaf flourishes out of green cardstock from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies and aded them around the frame. I die cut the small buds out of pink cardstock and sponged the ends with Lemon Whip and Peony inks before adding them to the leaf flourishes. I added the sepals made from green cardstock.

For the flowers I have used the small flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies. I have used flower shaping paper and coloured them with Lemon Whip and Peony inks and after shaping them I added some Heart of Gold Prills to the centres of the flowers before adding them to the leaf flourishes.

I die cut three ‘Congrats’ sentiments out of cream cardstock and stacked them together before adding them to the top of the inner panel as shown.

To finish I added some pearls to the decorative dies and at the corners at the top of the card.

Amazing Paper Grace Lacework Finery Slip-In Congrats Card

Kia Ora Koutou

I loved the Amazing Paper Grace dies by Becca Feeken since I first discovered them several years ago for their timeless, romantic and classic look which will never date. Today I have made a card using one of Becca’s earlier designs for the Die of the Month series – Lacework Finery Slip In Card. Here is a video on how Becca has made a card using the ‘slip-in’ feature of the dies. I have still used the ‘slip-in’ feature but in a different way. And I love that there are some flower dies in this set so I could create beautiful flowers for the card. This is such a pretty and feminine card that would be great for special birthdays, weddings or any celebration.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a 5″ x 7″ card base out of pink Centura Pearl cardstock. I used the outside die and the inner ‘slip’ decorative die and the two corner dies to die cut the card front. I then cut a piece of ivory cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and a piece of pink pattern paper 4 5/8″ x 6 5/8″ and adhered it to the front of the ivory cardstock before slipping in inside the decorative frame. I then die cut another single decorative panel and added it to the the front of the card crossing over the other decorative panel. To hide the join I cut a strip of 1″ wide pink cardstock and adhered a strip of 5/7″ ivory cardstock and a strand of ribbon which was then added over the centre of the dies and the edges were folded over the sides of the card. I then added this front panel to the base card.

I die cut a shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Oval dies out of ivory cardstock and a decorative frame out of pink cardstock and adhered them together. This was then added over the centre of the dies with foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Congrats’ sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity dies out of pink cardstock, stacked them together and added it to the centre of the oval as shown.

I die cut leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch & Go Flowers III out of light green cardstock and adhered them to the right of the oval and over the ribbon on the left side.

I die cut the flowers from the Lacework Finery Slip-In die set out of flower shaping cardstock. The petals were coloured with pink and yellow inks and then shaped before assembling with two petals of each size. I then added pearls to the centres of the flowers and added them over the leaves on the right side and the leaves and bow on the left side.

To finish the card I added pearls to the ovals in the centre of the card and to the decorative dies and edges of the card front as shown.

An Amazing Paper Grace Easter Basket

Kia ora Koutou

Happy Easter to all those that celebrate. I have a very sweet, spring inspired Easter basket to share with you today featuring the stunning Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2018 Softly Spoke’n Flip and Gatefold Card. This die has been designed by Becca Feeken to create beautiful and elegant baskets as well as stunning cards. This basket is perfect for Easter eggs and/or chocolate or even a special gift for someone special.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have created the basket following the directions by Becca Feeken here using yellow cardstock as my base. However, I added some pearlescent vellum behind the decorative dies at the top of my basket to allow me to add some embellishments later. I die cut two handles out of gold cardstock for each side of the basket.

I decorated the base of the basket using the Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Slimline Borders Dies out of white and yellow pearlescent cardstock. I then added a strip to the centre of the edge dies to coordinate with the gold handle accents. I used the left over oval from the basket and added it to the front and back of the basket over the decorative edges with foam tape. I die cut the centre motifs out of white cardstock and gold cardstock and added them to the yellow oval and added a gold pearl to the centre of the motifs. To finish the trims I added pearls to the lace edges.

For the flowers I have used the flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies and coloured them with blue ink. I added the flowers to a stem from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Daisy Dies with some leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies. I die cut some leaves from the same die set from gold cardstock and made a small bouquet with the flowers and leaves which was then glued to the top of the basket as shown. To finish the bouquet I added a bow made from white seam binding.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beccy’s Place Magnolia stamp set on white pearl card with Wow Embossing ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then die cut this sentiment out using the small tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace die and added it around the bow with white satin ribbon.

To complete the basket I die cut two butterflies from the Amazing Paper Grace Summer Label Motif Dies out of white and yellow pearl cardstock and the body out of gold cardstock. I assembled the butterflies and added them to the basket with foam tape.

Better Press Happy Birthday

Kia ora Koutou

I have recently purchased the new Spellbinders BetterPress system as I had seen some gorgeous plates and samples made with the BetterPress. And as I love colouring I thought I would have a go. I am still working out the best way to use it as I am getting a little bit of movement when I am pressing the plates. I think I need my Platinum next to the BetterPress so I can minimise the likelihood of movement. However, I do love the image that comes with the machine and I will look to add more plates over time when my budget and time allows.

My Project

For my card I created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card out of white cardstock. I impressed two images using the floral plate and sentiment plate that came with the machine on porcelain cardstock. I coloured on image using Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and die cut it out with a small rectangle die from the Spellbinders Matting Basics A Die set. I cut a piece of black cardstock slightly bigger than the die cut image and adhered the coloured image on top of the black cardstock. This was then added to the top of the plain black and white image aligning the lines. This was then added to the front of the card base.

I die cut two large frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Classics Rectangle Dies, adhered them together and added them to the card front.

I also pressed the sentiments from the Spellbinders – Fancy Sentiment Strips Press Plate & Die Set in black ink on the porcelain cardstock and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I added a mat out of black cardstock to the sentiment and then added this to the front of the card over the flowers with foam squares as shown.

To finish the card I added a little sparkle with some clear irridescent gems around the sentiments.

Sending Love with Altenew Antique Roses

Kia ora Koutou

I have been going through my stash and having some fun with older products. I thought I would have a play with the Altenew Antique Roses layering stamps and I must admit it took some time to get back to using layering stamps after using stencils and colouring medium to colour my images. I also used different colours to what I normally use such as the purples and greys and I was happy with the outcome. I have used a mix of Pink Fresh Studio and Altenew inks to colour the roses and leaves and layered the roses using foam tape for some dimension. I used my new Altenew- Elegance Tufted Elegance 3D  Embossing Folder as a base for the flowers and layered coordinating grey and purple cardstocks that matched the inks that I used in the purple roses and grey leaves.
